About this site

The football-books.com website provides up-to-date news and reviews on all the latest football books. The hundreds of books featured cover a wide range of subjects in an effort to appeal to a broad section of fans - from high-profile biographies to club reference books and histories, academic studies of soccer culture and books by lesser-known independent writers and publishers.

The aim is to provide a one-stop resource for fans interested in reading and buying football books - instead of having to trawl through general online book stores, the reader can find all the football books information they need in one place by searching the site and browsing a variety of detailed indexes. football-books.com also aims to keep you one step ahead with previews of books coming up in the next months.

The site and concept was first created in 1999 and has since then existed in various forms under the former incarnation of The Football Books Website. The site was relaunched in May 2006, and it is designed and run by Sam Hawcroft, a full-time journalist from Hull and avid supporter of the Tigers and Hull FC. football-books.com is a not-for-profit venture which recoups operating costs through advertising and the sale of books from Amazon. Mirror sites are available at football-books.co.uk, football-books.org and footballbooks.org.

football-books.com positively welcomes input from readers, authors and publishers - whether you have any comments or suggestions, a request to have a book listed, or want to submit a book review, please get in touch by e-mailing the site. Credit will always be given for original work and authors will retain their own copyright.

The concept, design, logos, original images and written content of this site is © Sam Hawcroft unless otherwise specified. You are welcome to reproduce written content, but please do not do so without attributing the source.
